HRM are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our clients growing team.  As a Carpenter, you will be working in a mixed trade team providing your expert skills and knowledge to support various trades onsite. If you have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, easy to get along with, experience in both residential and commercial industries and can support the business during a growth period, we would love to hear from you.  Being a small team, you will be required to have a broad range of skills and experience to perform in the role. 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Drivers Licence (manual)
• Carpentry Qualification and/or three years min experience in lieu of formal qualifications  
• Qld Construction Induction Card
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reading and Interpreting Drawings: ability to study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, installation procedures, and equipment requirements.
• Building Plan Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans and project specifications for both onsite and tender works and to inform job schedules.
• Structural Integrity Assessment: Capability to advise on the structural integrity of buildings and structures and communicate effectively with other trades.
• Framework Construction: Demonstrated experience in propping and erecting frameworks and structures for both rectification and demolition works.
• Concrete Formwork Construction: Ability to construct and install bespoke formwork for unique and specialised concrete projects. 
• Concrete and Asphalt Cutting/Drilling: experience, or ability to acquire skills in performing various concrete and/or asphalt cutting and drilling tasks using concrete saws and drills.  Familiarity with specialised cutting techniques.
• Repair and Maintenance: Demonstrated experience in a broad range of repair work, including carpentry repairs but also concrete cutting and drilling repairs.  Proficiency in repairing and patching concrete structures desired.    
• Team Collaboration: Capability to work effectively under instruction, within a team and also the ability to work unsupervised when required.

This full-time role will require travel throughout the Sunshine Coast region. Our client will offer excellent remuneration (salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 + super) and a supportive team culture.
